Why can't my students see my whiteboard?
I'm having trouble with my whiteboard sessions. I create a whiteboard and start drawing on it, but my students say they can't see anything I'm writing. I've checked my internet connection and it's fine, so I'm not sure what's wrong.
I'm clicking on the whiteboard tool and drawing, but nothing appears for them. They can see me in the video chat, and I can see their cursors moving around, but my drawings aren't showing up on their screens.
I've tried refreshing the page and restarting the session, but it still doesn't work. Is there a setting I need to enable? Or maybe I need to grant some permission?
This is really frustrating because I can't teach effectively without being able to draw on the whiteboard. Has anyone else had this problem?

I think I know what's happening! You're probably drawing on your local whiteboard, but you haven't actually added the whiteboard to the session yet.
When you create a session, you need to explicitly add a whiteboard to it. Just having the whiteboard tool available doesn't mean there's an active whiteboard in the session. Here's what to do:
1. In your session, click the "+" button or "Add Tool" - This will show you options to add different tools to the session.
2. Select "Whiteboard" from the list - This creates a shared whiteboard that everyone in the session can see and interact with.
3. Once the whiteboard is added, you'll see it appear in the session - Now when you draw on it, your students will be able to see it in real-time.
The key thing to understand is that the whiteboard tool and the whiteboard itself are separate. The tool lets you draw, but you need to add an actual whiteboard to the session for your drawings to be shared with others.
Try adding a whiteboard to your session and then drawing on it - your students should be able to see everything you create! Let me know if that works for you.
